Experiences from conception to age six have the most important influence of any time in the life

Jessica Shillington

Jessica is a Registered Nurse at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and joined the CHILD studies team in April 2019. Since completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Honors Degree at the University of Alberta in 2012, Jessica has cared for newborns and their families as a bedside nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Currently, Jessica is completing her Master of Nursing Degree at the University of Calgary researching parents’ experiences bringing their late-preterm infants’ home from hospital. In hopes of merging her bedside nursing practice and research knowledge, Jessica is currently working as a research nurse with the VID-KIDS study. In her free time, Jessica enjoys yoga, skiing, dancing, and playing with her cat Ivan.
