Nela graduated from the University of Calgary with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences in April 2015. She has been working as a Research Assistant at the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary and contributing to CHILD studies since September 2013. Before she was hired as a staff member, she volunteered on a weekly basis with the CHILD studies team, assisting in organizing data collection and and participant appointments. She is currently assisting in conducting a variety of studies looking at maternal/paternal mental health, child development, parent-child interaction quality and domestic violence.
