Amelia Potter-Dickey

Amelia Potter-Dickey, RN, BN, is a doctoral candidate in the Faculty of Nursing and works as a research assistant on numerous projects within the CHILD Studies Program. With her background in obstetrics, family health, and pediatric nursing, Amelia’s doctoral research is focused on understanding the impact that children’s genotype contributes to attachment pattern development. She is interested in understanding what predicts and influences attachment patterns to advance our ability to target programs and nursing interventions to specific populations based on children’s genotype and caregiving environments. Her research will provide a foundation for establishing the most effective nursing interventions that support developing a secure attachment pattern that is ultimately associated with lifespan health.
