
Nkechi Chinedu-Asogwa is a Research Assistant with the CHILD Studies Lab at the University of Calgary. Her work focuses on evidence-informed approaches to family and community well-being, with a particular interest in resilience, violence prevention, and social policy impacts on vulnerable populations.
Nkechi brings a diverse background that bridges community practice, policy engagement, and applied research. Alongside her academic work, she holds a contract role as the Fund Development Manager with Council for the Advancement of African Canadians in Alberta (Africa Centre), where she leads strategic fundraising, translating program data and community narratives to compelling evidence of impact to attract funding, strengthen donor engagement and advance sustainable social programs.
Her current research contributions support studies exploring risk assessment, resilience, and intervention frameworks within domestic violence and family contexts. Nkechi’s academic interests include, gender and social resilience, and community-based participatory research that informs equitable public policy.
