In April 2024, our team sought to increase the knowledge mobilization and translation of CHILD research in order to share our findings with a broader audience. As such, we have taken to social media to share ongoing news, showcase publications, and share our research findings.

A huge congratulations to our Junior Program Manager, Kelly Wu, on recently graduating with a Master of Data Science from the University of Calgary! Join us on Wednesday, October 15th, as the AVA Webinar Series presents Queer Epistemologies of Violence: Ecological and Liberatory Perspectives, featuring Dr. Jason C. Garvey from the University of Vermont and principal investigator of QTPiE: Queer and Trans People in Education. October 10 marks World Mental Health Day, a reminder that everyone deserves support and understanding. This year’s theme — “Mental health is a universal human right” — encourages us to create safe, caring spaces for all. October is Women’s History Month in Canada. We honour the life and legacy of Dr. Leslie Tutty - a visionary scholar, tireless advocate, and compassionate mentor whose work transformed how we understand and respond to gender-based violence across Alberta, the Prairies, and Canada. As a foundational leader of RESOLVE Alberta and a champion for survivors, Leslie’s legacy lives on in the research she shaped, the policies she influenced, and the countless lives she touched.
